Orthodox ossuary temple
"Sveta Troica"

"Sveta Troica" is an Orthodox ossuary church in Bulgaria, built in memory of the Bulgarian officers and soldiers who died in the Allied and First World War (1915 - 1918) in the battles fought on the outskirts of the village of Gyueshevo. It is located about 20 km from Kyustendil.

In 1925, an initiative committee of 17 people was established in Güeshevo, led by the commander of the border post Vladimir Yordanov, he chose the northwestern end as the place of its construction. Stoimen Angelov-Beliya donated the place and 100,000 BGN for its construction. The construction project is the work of architect Georgi Ivanov.

"Hisarlaka" fortress

"Hisarluka" fortress is located on the highest flat part of the hill of the same name, rising 2 km southeast of Kyustendil. Built at the end of the 4th-beginning of the 5th century. Repaired in the 6th century, it survived the First and Second Bulgarian States and was demolished by the Ottoman conquerors in the 15th century. The fortress has the shape of an irregular polygon, with dimensions of 117/175 m and an area of ​​2 , 12 ha.

The archaeological excavations carried out record different construction periods of the fortress and speak of the continuous and continuous use of the fortress during antiquity and the Middle Ages.

Osogovska mountain

The relief of Osogovska mountain is convenient for hiking. The heart of the mountain, the area around the Osogovo hut, the areas of Three Buki and Mandrata, where the main tourist sites are, can be reached in 20 minutes (21 km) along a comfortable and scenic asphalt road. There are many tourist routes that will allow you to enjoy the beautiful nature, to visit territories with significant species diversity, often of rare and even endangered species.

Only about 20 kilometers from the town of Kyustendil are the ski and snowboard slopes in the Osogov mountain. The road is good and cleaned regularly. The ski slopes in Osogovo are in close proximity to the base of the mountain rescuers.
